Whilst there is no requirement for a qualified CPC holder to be present on a Restricted Operator Licence, applicants are often required to undertake an Awareness Course as a condition of the O Licence being granted to ensure they are fully aware of the regulations and requirements upon them. The Awareness Course is also useful to ensure operational staff fully understand the regulatory requirements of operators in the road transport industry.
PTS regularly travel throughout the UK delivering Operator Licence Awareness courses to the syllabus accepted by the Senior Traffic Commissioner and IoTA, the body through which the course and certificate is issue and registered.
All elements of regulations for an operator licence are covered on the course as is best practice, undertakings agreed at the time of application and the expectations of enforcement agencies and the industry regulator. There is no examination to sit, but there is a requirement to fulfil attendance criteria.
Courses last for two days unless otherwise directed as part of the conditions or undertakings on an operator licence and can be delivered at your base, a suitable venue in the vicinity or our base. Courses are available to suit the requirements or constrains of your operation and always delivered in a friendly informative style by experienced consultants, who are able to answer any questions which may arise and provide the expected guidance to ensure O Licence compliance is upheld.
