Whether you operate a single vehicle or a large fleet we work throughout the UK providing independent, effective advice based on a sound knowledge of the developments in legislation, regulation and industry best practice. We work closely with clients to obtain a clear understanding of their specific business and operating constraints which enables us to develop practical, economic solutions which can be implemented with the minimum of disruption.
With over forty years experience in the Road Transport Industry we offer services in all aspects of O Licence compliance, from applying for an Operator's Licence, submitting changes and the renewal through to offering training courses for the Transport Managers CPC and CPC Refresher, which the regulatory body has suggested is attended for two days every five years, to ensure knowledge is fully updated. Operators holding a Restricted O Licence where professional competence is not part of the criteria or staff involved in the operational side of the business, attendance on an Operator Licence Awareness course is often required and will ensure an understanding of the regulations and best practice required to maintain compliance are fully understood.
Compliance with the undertakings on the Operator Licence and the expectations of the regulatory and enforcement authorities is of utmost importance and is often the reason for arriving at a Preliminary Hearing or Public Inquiry. A compliance audit covering the effectiveness and use of the systems in place within the operation is a good tool to ensure the undertakings and expectations are being fully met. Our audit is provided with a full report containing any findings from the visit with advice and suggestions for improvements where necessary also.
It is not only operators who can be called to a Preliminary Hearing or Public Inquiry to answer for shortcomings, drivers can also be called to appear at a Conduct Hearing to explain their actions. We can assist both operators and drivers with advice and support, but also with preparation and representation before the Traffic Commissioner.
We are always available to talk through any requirements or difficulties you may have and offer a free service for advice sought over the phone during a short call or by email.
