JAUPT - Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training – Training to be remote

29 Jan 2021

JAUPT confirm that the current guidance for Driver CPC periodic training from DVSA and DVA has been reviewed and updated in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

All Driver CPC periodic training should be delivered remotely. However, where necessary, essential Driver CPC periodic training can be delivered on site by those employers who provide periodic training to their own employees using their own trainers at their own premises.

Employers must reduce the spread of the virus by following health advice to make sure their workplace is Covid-secure.

Employers cannot use third-party trainers at their own site or arrange for their employees to be trained at a third-party site until restrictions are lifted. Third-party trainers are encouraged to provide remotely delivered Driver CPC periodic training to drivers.
