Primarily for rail travel, bus and coach operators offering scheduled services are urged to take part if they can.  Although Ukrainian people have begun to arrive at the weekend, some may have travelled from the point of arrival and need assistance to complete their journey using local bus services to get to their end destination.

Identification required for free travel is by way of a Ukrainian passport and a boarding pass showing arrival in the UK within the past 48 hours.

Government and Local Authorities (LAs) are in discussion regarding the current English scheme for onward travel and LAs are expected to sign up to offer free travel.  Scotland and Wales are looking to provide similar assistance.
